Segbewema Community

Click here if you are interested in visiting us
The remotest community on the heritage trail, Segbewema can only be accessed by bush trails and has retained some of the mysterious qualities of Sierra Leone's rural communities. Characterized by its small, tightly built thatch huts, this village is a window into times past.

Segbewema also boasts a number of very interesting cultural heritage sites with a variety of places where there are legends of shape-shifting 'genies' and sacred caves.

It is possible, on the heritage trail, to stay in a homestay at Segbewema and experience how people live their daily lives. There is also a trek that starts from Gola Forest National Park that takes you through this fascinating community.
