Kambama Community |
Kambama is a small village of around 400 inhabitants located on the banks of the Moa River. Like other villages close to the river, the community's members are mostly fishermen, however there are also a lot of farmers too.
In Kambama, there is a blacksmith who is essential to the working life of all villagers, a herbalist who is knowledgeable in herbal medecines, and an Eco-campsite that was created and is now run by the Town Speaker, Chief Hindowa Kamara and other community members. Kambama is usually the starting point for all Heritage Trails that we run, and so you will learn a lot about this village and its stories and legends that can be told by many an elder, as well as making new friendships with the very hospitable villagers. |
